The differences between
The Outpost and The Lodge
Overview
Our lodge and our outpost cabin are located on the same lake. We are the only operation on the entire lake.
The fishing is outstanding.
Oak Lake Lodge is owned and operated by John Naimian who has run this exclusive Canadian fishing lodge since 1999.
What is unique about this fishing in Canada on the English River System?
- we are a fly-in only destination, there is no road access available for "weekend fishermen",
- we practice conservation to keep our lake's fish stocks plentiful,
- we are remote but we look after you,
- our guests return year after year proving it is an experience they enjoy,
- there is no industry on or above our lake. It is an environmentally protected waterway.
What is the difference between the lodge and the outpost?
This is the lodge setting with several cottages and a main dining hall.
The outpost is a private experience for a single group of people. The outpost is 45 minutes from the main lodge. You are able to communicate with the main lodge via radio phone.
