The truly relaxing fishing vacation paired with excellent service

Admit it:  there's nothing more relaxing than sitting on a private lake, surrounded by nature, with the full knowledge that there's nothing that can disturb you and no one who can make you leave until you're good and ready.  You spend plenty of your time working hard.  When it comes time to relax, you want to be able to vacation just as hard - in peace, quiet, and absolute leisure.

If that's what you're aiming for, the Ontario fly in fishing experience offered by Oak Lake Lodge is the perfect vacation for you.  The lake is completely and utterly private, with no way for anyone else to get to it.

Locals can't get to the lake:  there's no road access, boat access is restricted by waterfalls, and camping isn't allowed within 1200 feet of the shoreline.

That means that the only people you have to share the lake with are other guests at the lodge.  It's private, isolated, and completely and utterly peaceful.

Picture this:  you're relaxing on the lake, leaned back in your boat and watching your fishing pole.  There's no one else in sight--just you and your party, the water, and the gorgeous shoreline.  If you're interested in carrying on a conversation, your guide has plenty of fascinating experiences to share with you--or they can point out the fascinating natural features along the way.  On the other hand, if you prefer the quiet, your guide will sit there with you and allow you to enjoy the silence.

Not interested in taking a guide along?  In that case, you have the ability to experience total isolation on the lake.  Out for a trip with a special someone?  You can have as much privacy as the two of you desire.

Tall trees sway faintly with the breeze in the background--the same breeze that brushes across your face as you get comfortable and look at the water.  Suddenly, there's a tug on your line.  You've caught something!  You reel the fish in, and it's a big one.  He's fighting you.  You're getting quite a workout, but it's the best kind of workout:  at the end, when you pull your catch into the boat, you realize that it's one of the biggest fish you've had the pleasure of catching.

Fishing on Oak Lake is always a richly rewarding experience with a great catch at the end.  Walleye, small-mouth bass, northern pike, and Muskie are in abundance in the lake, so you're sure to experience a great catch--many of them of fantastic sizes.  No need to worry that it won't be a successful trip; the fishing in Oak Lake is always great.

If you don't like handling your own bait or pulling the fish off the line, don't worry!  Your guide is right there to help with whatever you need.  On the other hand, if you enjoy the whole fishing experience--right on down to the details--then there's absolutely no reason for you not to perform those tasks yourself.

When lunchtime rolls around, you'll be in for a treat.  Oak Lake Lodge provides delicious lunches on the shore of the lake.  Didn't hire a guide?  That's okay.  You'll still be included in the fun.  Sit back, relax, and chat with the other guests (or enjoy the show in silence) as the fish are fried for you.  Lunch will be supplemented with side dishes straight from the kitchens--and if there's one thing about Oak Lake Lodge that people rave about, it's the food!  There's never any worry that there won't be enough fish to go around come lunchtime.  Fishing on Oak Lake is always fantastic, because Oak Lake Lodge is the only place with access.

As if that's not enough, when you fly in to fish with Oak Lake Lodge, you'll know that everything is taken care of for you.  Basic toiletries are provided for your stay, so you don't have to worry about adding those to your packing list.  Linens, cleaning services, and food preparation are handled for you so all you have to do is enjoy your vacation.
